Privacy Policy for Cadence

Cadence (“the app”) is developed by Oscar Guerra (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what the app does and does not collect. In short: Cadence does not collect any personal information, does not require an account, and does not track you.

Information we do not collect

Cadence does not ask for or collect your name, email address, phone number, location, contacts, photos, or any other personally identifying information. There is no sign-up and no account. We do not use advertising, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.

Anonymous usage analytics

To understand how the app is used and improve it, Cadence sends a small amount of anonymous usage data through TelemetryDeck, a privacy-focused analytics service. This data describes app activity only — for example, that a track’s tempo was set (and whether by tapping, auto-detection, or an adjustment), and non-identifying counts about a library (such as how many tracks it contains).

This data is not linked to your identity, is not used to track you, and cannot be used to identify you. It is associated only with a random, per-installation identifier that is not tied to your name, your Apple Account, or any personal detail, and that resets if you reinstall the app. TelemetryDeck processes this data in an anonymized form; you can read more about their approach at https://telemetrydeck.com/privacy/.

Your music and files

Cadence works with music from two sources:

• Apple Music. If you add songs from Apple Music, playback is handled entirely by Apple’s own frameworks under your own Apple Music subscription. Cadence does not collect, upload, or store your Apple Music library or listening history.
• Local files. If you import audio files from your device, Cadence keeps its own copy inside the app’s private storage on your device so the tracks always play. These files stay on your device — they are never uploaded to us or to any third party. Removing a track from the app deletes that copy, and deleting the app removes them entirely.

Tempo and BPM information you set for your tracks is stored locally on your device.

Children

Cadence is intended for a general audience and does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date.
