Why is my library empty when I first open the app? Cadence doesn’t fill itself — you choose what goes in. On the Library screen, tap the ＋ button to add songs from your Apple Music library, or to import an audio file from your device.
Do I need an Apple Music subscription? Only to play Apple Music catalog tracks. Local audio files you import play without any subscription.
How do I set a song’s BPM? Open a track and it starts in Calibrate mode. Tap along with the beat until it locks in, or press Auto to detect the tempo automatically. Once the original BPM is set, you can change the playback tempo.
How do I change a song’s tempo? After a track is calibrated, use the tempo controls to speed it up or slow it down. Imported local tracks keep their pitch natural when you change speed.
How do I share a playlist? Open a playlist, tap the ••• menu, and choose a share option. The other person’s Cadence app will import the set with its tempos intact.
